Dearest Gentle Game Enthusiasts,
It has become such a treat to write these updates to you all, and to celebrate with you as Impropriety makes its way into the world!
There is so much that has happened in the short week since our last update, and we hardly know where to begin! In summary:
- We are now 740% Funded with nearly 600 Backers, raising $74,006 thus far!
- We have unlocked 8 Stretch Goals and are well on our way to unlocking more!
Here are the next Goals on the horizon:

Dearest Gentle Game Enthusiasts,
Ah, has it already been one week since we introduced Impropriety to the "ton"? Indeed, and what a marvelous whirlwind it has been! Since we last spoke...
...we are now nearly 600% funded with over 475 backers!
...we have successfully unlocked 6 Stretch goals and are so close to achieving the seventh! Two new Secrets will soon be introduced into the game!
We would like to THANK YOU for your continued support of our Regency dream! We could not have done this without you, and every day we are reminded and humbled that our little story will soon be read over many a warm and gracious game table.
Our hearts are so full of gratitude, and you have inspired us to be playful! In the spirit of Impropriety...
Let us play a little game!
Imagine this: we are in the midst of a game, and your sisters are feverishly collecting their items for the ball in the Town Square. Secrets have been spilled, scandals exposed, and it is now your turn!
You have just rolled the die, and decided to venture towards the Tea Room. Your gracious narrator has taken a Scenario Card, and has read you the prompt of the situation in which you now find yourself. You are in luck! Today you shall encounter your future Mother-in-law, Lady Duffling!
The Scenario reads as follows:
INTRIGUE!
"An invitation from Doddlesby Manor for an afternoon of whist has been extended to you and your sisters. The room is crowded with many women, but fortunately you find yourself seated at the table with Lady Duffling, the mother of the gentleman with whom you hope to be intimately acquainted. While playing, you spot that Lady Duffling has a nasty habit of cheating!"
When you catch Lady Duffling in her scheme, what do you do?
a) Leave it be. Best not to embarrass her publicly!
b) Confront her immediately! She should be made to know of your keen eye.
c) Neither. I would craft my own scheme to win her over entirely! But first, you simply must tell us how you would accomplish this! Spare no detail. :)

A Successful Beginning, Indeed! 429% Funded with 350 Backers!

It is a universal truth that the Impropriety launch has been a resounding success thus far! The love we feel for the game from the 350 Backers we currently have is so heartwarming, and we would like to thank you all!
As a small board game publishing company, we are so grateful for everyone who is helping us exceed all expectations. We are now 429% funded with $42,951 raised! This means that we have already unlocked the first 5 stretch goals!
Onward to MORE Stretch Goals!
Yes, we know that we pre-stretched the quote-artwork on the inside of the Standard Edition, but it was such an important mantra from the very beginning of the game’s creation that we could not imagine the box without it!
However, the GREAT news is that we have UNLOCKED 1 new Secret Card, 2 Epilogue Cards, and 1 Solo Story Epilogue for both the Standard and Deluxe versions of Volume One! With every stretch goal we achieve, the story gets a little bit richer for all players, and there will be more charming story vignettes to discover.
The next few stretch goals are extraordinarily exciting! By the time we reach $100,000, we will have unlocked:
- 2 New Multiplayer Ball Scenarios
- 2 More New Secret Cards
- 2 New Solo Story Epilogue Endings
- 2 New Solo Story Ball Scenarios
And perhaps most intriguing: LINEN FINISH on ALL CARDS in the Standard Edition & Premium Linen-textured Paper in the Ball Scenario Booklet!
However, we cannot do this alone! Now is the time when we ask that you help share your new discovery with everyone you know—Regency fans, Literature Lovers, Board Game Enthusiasts, Friends, Neighbours, Family, and Co-workers alike!
Social Media Stretch Goals
We also have Social Media Stretch goals that will help enhance the game! We are well on our way to achieving the first: 1500 Instagram followers (we are currently at 1380 and climbing), which will unlock 4 New Secret Cards all at once!
