Latest Updates from Our Project:

The PPC's are complete! Sneak Preview of Masquerade
15 days ago – Mon, Aug 03, 2026 at 09:09:40 AM

Dearest Gentle Gamers,

We have a splendid update! We woke up to an email from the factory who has just sent us little video clips of our PPC copies that were completed on Saturday. There was a small delay in production, but we're still on track.

Here is a sneak preview of Masquerade! To see this edition in full form is especially exciting for us; we have been playing and playtesting this game on a hand-printed, hand-crafted copy made by Nina ever since its inception and when they arrive this will be the first time we hold the finalized copy of Volume 2 in our hands.

The PPC is being express shipped to us, at which time we'll inspect it and also flood our Instagram page with videos and photos to show off Impropriety in its stunning splendor. There is no comparable feeling like holding a physical copy of your ideas for the first time, and we will be sure to share this special moment with you as well.  Please be sure to follow us @punktuationgames to see more!

Of course, we will also post an update here when the PPC's are approved and we move into mass production.

Counting down the days until the PPC's arrive!

Always and forever grateful,

Nina & Devon

July Update: Impropriety in the Making!
about 1 month ago – Fri, Jul 17, 2026 at 08:27:57 AM

Dearest Gentle Gamers,

We hope that you are enjoying a splendid and playful July!

For our monthly update, this one is short and sweet because the Pre-production copy is still in the process of being produced. We had a little bit of back and forth with the factory regarding our gold-foiling on the Deluxe Edition gameboard and book covers, but we are happy to say that we should be able to provide you with another update with photos by the end of the month!

Once the PPC copy arrives, we will be blasting our Instagram and Kickstarter page with updates including photos!

In short, nothing new to report at this time. Rest assured that the moment we hear news, you will all be the first to know!

In the meantime, please note that we are not yet planning on locking the pledges, so you still have time to add to your order or complete the pledge survey if you have not yet done so. Once we do lock the pledges, you will still be able to update your mailing address up until the point where shipping begins. We will also give you plenty of notice before we lock the pledges, and when shipping starts.

If you are having trouble with the survey, or have not received it, please email [email protected] ASAP with your pledge number. You must complete your survey in order to receive your order!

We will be in touch shortly, and are wishing you all the very best!

Always,

Nina & Devon

Moving into the next phase! - June Monthly Update
2 months ago – Mon, Jun 15, 2026 at 10:47:22 AM

Dearest Gentle Gamers,

We have a wonderful progress update for you, and even better news: we are ahead of schedule! Impropriety is officially in its PRODUCTION phase!

What does a game production phase entail, you might ask?

Games undergo a thorough production check phase that involves several steps before the games are made en masse:

  1. Pre-production Copy (PPC): When the files are submitted to the manufacturer, an initial copy is produced and sent to us so that we can inspect every aspect of the game and make any final alterations if necessary to ensure that when the greenlight is set for mass production, each copy is as perfect as possible.
  2. If there are any changes that need to be made (colours, margins, etc.), we are able to make them and then receive another PPC for approval. We don't anticipate this being the case, but we have built in this contingency within the timeline.
  3. Once the PPC is perfect, we move into Mass Production. This is when all of the copies for our backers and retailers will be produced. This process usually takes ~10 to 12 weeks from start to when we begin sending to our fulfilment centres.
  4. Shipping: Once the games are sealed, boxed, and ready to travel, they will go to our global fulfilment partner: GamesQuest. They have multiple fulfilment centres around the world to ensure that shipping should be swift, and as cost effective as possible for everyone.
  5. Fulfilment: Once GamesQuest processes the orders, Impropriety and all of its delights will be on their way to you!

We know that it sounds like many steps in a short amount of time; because Impropriety was already a completed game when we crowdfunded, and all that we had to do was polish stretch goals that we had pre-written before the campaign, we are able to move into the production phase much quicker than most campaigns.

Our aim is to have everyone's game on your doorsteps by the end of November. Of course, there may be global shipping disruptions, delays or complications in manufacturing, or other unforeseen circumstances that may change this plan, but rest assured that the second we are alerted to any issues that may arise, you will be the next to know.

In short, Impropriety is in its cooking phase now, which is a monumental step in bringing this game into the world!

We will send another update with photos when we receive the PPC! We want to share that special reveal with you all, and are counting down the days!

Pledge Manager Reminders

The Pledge Manager surveys are now 84% complete. If you have not yet completed your survey, please do so soon—we will be locking all items at the beginning of July, so it is important that you please complete your order before then! Cards will not be charged until September when manufacturing concludes and the shipping phase begins.

IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PLEDGE MANAGER EMAIL, please email [email protected] immediately with your pledge number and the email you would like to use.If you used an Apple ID on Kickstarter, the email shows up as encrypted in our system and has been the main source of failures for the emails being sent out. In any case, the problem is easily solved once we hear from you, so please do reach out as soon as possible.

Modiste: A Romantic Era Fashion Game

You may have seen on social media (instagram) that we have also been teasing our next release, Modiste: A Romantic Era Fashion Game. It was mentioned in our Impropriety campaign, and we would like to tell you a little about this game and why the timing of it follows directly after Impropriety.

Modiste was a top finalist in the Panda Manufacturing 25 in 25 Sponsorship Contest at the end of 2025. This granted it $5000 USD to use towards the prototyping process, which is such a valued honour; prototypes range from $400 to $1000 a copy, so this is an expense that is always difficult to absorb when producing a game before releasing it into the world. As a small company, this is an absolute lifeline!

One of the contest stipulations is that the game must be crowdfunded in 2026. Ordinarily, games are fulfilled before another campaign is launched, and we are fully aware of the eyebrows that may raise at our timeline.

One of the reasons we were so prepared with Impropriety to move into production so quickly after the campaign is so that it will be in its fulfilment phase when the Modiste Campaign goes live. Impropriety may not be on your doorstep, but it will be in the final leg of its journey to you.

You might ask why we must crowdfund in November? The campaign must be completed by the end of 2026, and December is notoriously a challenging month for game crowdfunding (both for raised advertising costs, and due to the fact that fewer support crowdfunding projects during gift-purchasing season, understandably so!). To give Modiste its best chance at the success we believe this game deserves—because it truly is something special!—we want to schedule its launch at the appropriate time.

We want you to know that while we are starting to generate the buzz about Modiste, it in no way has shifted our focus from Impropriety. Because our first game is now in manufacturing and out of our hands, we are ready to move into the next project while still managing the previous one.

We are working on having Modiste’s pre-launch page posted in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned for more updates on both Impropriety and Modiste soon!

As always, we would like to share our deepest gratitude with you all. If it were not for your support, Impropriety, Modiste, and all of our future games would not be able to exist. Thank you, sincerely, our dearest gentle friends.

Onward, upward, and forever grateful,

Nina & Devon

Pledge Manager Now Live!
3 months ago – Fri, May 15, 2026 at 08:03:45 AM

Dearest Gentle Game Enthusiasts!

The Pledge Manager is now open for Impropriety!

All backers should have received an email this morning with our BackerKit Survey, which is where you can complete your order.

For those of you who are new to using a pledge manager, here is what you will find in your survey. You can:

  • Enter your shipping information. You can change addresses as many times as you need between now and when manufacturing ends and shipping begins (estimated for mid-September).
  • Confirm your Kickstarter Pledge Rewards & add any additional items. Double check to make sure that your original pledge is correct, and if you would like to add Masquerade or the Jane Austen 250th mini-expansion to your order, you can do so here!
  • Upgrade your pledge. If you would like to change your order from the Standard Edition of Volume 1 to the Deluxe, you can also do that here.
  • Pay for shipping & taxes. The pledge manager will automatically calculate shipping and local sales taxes based on your province/state/country and add this to your total.

Everyone must complete their surveys & confirm the items in their orders by July 31st, 2026. You will still be able to change your address afterward, but by this date we will need finalized item totals for our manufacturer. Your card will not be charged until shipping begins (mid-September), and we will update you again before doing so.

If you ever have any questions about the survey or your order, please feel free to email us at [email protected]. We are always happy to help!

Always,

Nina & Devon

Happy Monday! — What's next for Impropriety?
4 months ago – Mon, Apr 20, 2026 at 11:38:16 AM

Dearest Impropriety Enthusiasts,

You are likely wondering as to what happens next now that the campaign is fully funded. We are writing to let you know what you can expect in the coming weeks and months leading up to delivery.

Late Pledges & Pledge Manager

Late pledges are now open, which means the game is still available for purchase through the Kickstarter page for new backers. Late pledges will be open up until manufacturing is completed and fulfilment begins, at which time we will switch to pre-orders directly through our website.

For those who pledged during the campaign, we will be launching our Pledge Manager through BackerKit in a few weeks, and you will receive an email notification when that becomes available. During the pledge manager, backers of all reward tiers can add to their orders (for example, expansion packs or Volume 2), or upgrade from the Standard Edition to the Deluxe Edition.

If you have any questions about your order, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected]

What's Next for Impropriety

The next stages are finalizing the files with our manufacturer with the many achieved stretch goals! This is a back-and-forth process of seeking perfection, and once the files are fully approved we move into the pre-production phase, where we will receive samples of all of the final products. When this happens, we'll inspect them, make any required changes or alterations (and also take a zillion pictures for you to see!), and once any minor issues have been resolved and we have a perfect edition, we move into mass production!

While we cannot predict any global bumps in the road, based on everything we are doing we are on track to deliver in Q4 of this year!

A Note from the Team

We want you to know what you can expect from us in the meantime while we all eagerly await the game's arrival! It is very important to us to live by a mantra of full-transparency and communication with our backers; after all, this is a team effort and you deserve to know how the process is moving along. We do not want to bombard you with emails, but we plan to send an update at least once a month, and also whenever major production/shipping milestones are reached. If you would like more frequent peeks at what is happening, we recommend following our Instagram that is regularly active (@punktuationgames).

Please also know that if there are any disruptions (global shipping shifts, manufacturing delays, etc.), we will share these with you immediately. No matter how organized we are or how diligent we have been, sometimes there are unexpected obstacles; should they arise, we will conquer them together.

Devon & I are always available for communication, so if you ever have questions feel free to send us an email.

One Last Thank You for Now

We are so appreciative of all of your support, and look forward to the day when you play Impropriety for the first time. Please be sure to share with us your experiences!

Always,

Nina (& Devon, of course)
